Rainy In Paris

Bike with life-sized Child Basket

Dear friends-

Big surprise for you today: It’s cold and rainy in Paris. And since I have friends family and loved ones from around the world snapping and sending and emailing me photos and messages about how beautiful and warm it is where they live, I decided, I too will share what my day is like from home to metro to office and back: rain edition.

  1. Oof, it’s raining.
  2. And, my umbrella’s broken.
  3. I guess I’ll try my hood.
  4. Then, the wind says: FUCK YOU, HOOD.
  5. Broken umbrella it is.
  6. Why do some people pretend it’s not raining?
  7. You have no umbrella. You’re getting wet. What, you’re too cool to rush?
  8. Are Parisians immune to rain water?
  9. I never took note of this in New York.
  10. Maybe New Yorkers are also immune to rain and opposed to rain-induced rushing.
  11. Also, does smoking that cigarette and popping your collar make the rain feel less wet?
  12. BUMPER UMBRELLAAASS!!!!
  13. Shucks, umbrella juice got all over me.
  14. PARDON! As my umbrella plays human wack-a-mole with an innocent man.
  15. Dirty look city!
  16. I’m sorry, but I said excuse me! Don’t give me the stank eye if I hit your face with my umbrella.
  17. You’re the one that’s ill equipped for…
  18. …Bumper umbrellas!!!!!
  19. WHY IS THE METRO SO FAR AWAY?!
  20. I should get a chauffeur.
  21. Or date an uber driver.
  22. Or spray my entire body with NeverWet.
  23. I wonder if that stuff actually works
  24. Il pleut comme les vaches qui pissent… (ENG: it’s raining like pissing cows)
  25. ..Les vaches qui ont beaucoup bu [du biere] (ENG: cows that drank a lot of beer)
  26. FML.
  27. My sock feels wet.
  28. Maybe both my socks feel wet. I can’t tell.
  29. Maybe my boot has a hole?
  30. EWWWW MUSHY FEET.
  31. I wish we had hand dryers at work.
  32. I spy with my little eye…something that issss…Hipster!
  33. …On a bike.
  34. How is this guy riding his bike right now? Def on his way to crazytown.
  35. OMG there’s a mom on a bike too. With her child in one of those life-sized bike basket!!
  36. I wish I was a small Parisian human in one of those basket/side-carts, sometimes.
  37. Finally.
  38. At work.
  39. Slightly moist.

Good day to you all.

[Wet, mushy] Poutoux from Paris,

Stephanie
